Managing Accounts¶
This documentation helps you with your Mammoth account management. It solves for questions like:
Login | Logout¶
To login into the application, navigate to https://app.mammoth.io and enter your:
Email address
Password
To logout from the application:
Open Account menu
Click on Logout
Note
Currently we support Google Chrome, Firefox and Safari browsers.
Add | Remove Users¶
To add a new user:¶
Open account menu
Go to Settings > Users
Click on Add user and enter the following specifics:
Provide name and email address of the new user
Select an appropriate role for the new user
Click on Add User
The user gets added to the list. An email is sent to the new user with a link to setup the password.
To remove a user:¶
Go to Account > Settings > Users
Click on the bin sign next to the user
Select the user account to which the assets of this user will be transferred to
Click on Transfer & Remove User
Note
Only a user with ADMIN or OWNER rights can add or remove other users.
Assign roles¶
When creating new users it is important to assign them appropriate roles. Following the least privilege principle for assigning user roles boosts your account security further.
Mammoth allows you to choose between two roles:
Analyst - Analysts can import data, create pipelines and generate reports
Admin - Admins can do all of the above and also manage users
Note
Only a user with ADMIN or OWNER rights can assign/change user roles.
Reset Passwords¶
If you have forgotten your account password, you can always reset your password.
To do this:
Click on Forgot password? on the login page
Enter your registered email address and click on Send; you will receive the link to reset your password in your inbox

Click on the link, enter a new strong password, confirm the password and hit sign in.

You can also reset your password from within the app.
Navigate to Account > Settings > Security
Click on “Reset your login password”
Enter your old password
Enter a new password and confirm it.

Note
Passwords that use alphabets (UPPERCASE & lowercase), numbers, and symbols and are 8-14 characters long are tougher to crack. Enhance your account’s security by choosing a strong password.
Two-factor authentication¶
Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an additional layer of security to your account.
To set up 2FA:
Go to Account > Settings > Security
Click on “Set up two-factor authentication”

At last, click on Submit.
Switch Accounts¶
A user can be a member of multiple accounts.
The accounts of a user are listed in the account menu.
The first item in the menu is the current account and email address of the user. Following this is a list of accounts that user has.
In the list of accounts, the current account is visible but not highlighted. However, other accounts are highlighted and the user can click on them to switch to a particular account.
